Embracing Emotional Ups and Downs with Fei Li

It is known that at any given time, life can present us with many different emotions - up's and down's are a natural part of life's journey and navigating these shifts in emotion can be a daunting task. There are times in life when unwanted emotions or feelings will be a part of everyday life, even amid happiness and balance.
If you ever find yourself doubting or wondering how you might find the happiness you have been seeking, if you feel like life is difficult, or have feelings that you would like to eliminate from your life, this workshop is for you.
In "Embracing Emotional Ups and Downs", we will discuss embracing life and the dynamic feelings it brings along with it. We will learn to develop a compassionate relationship with ourselves and our experiences. This two-hour workshop will introduce some concepts and tools from ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy), we will practice two different acceptance mindfulness techniques:
Acceptance- the practice of accepting things as they come, without evaluating or attempting to change them and Defusion: the practice of reducing the influence of unhelpful thoughts and beliefs over your behavior. Through these practices and conversation, we hope we can learn to better embrace all that life brings our way and navigate the difficult times more consciously.
